Changes in this release

Stack Run In - error shown to users if VBS fails to contact terminal web service

Terminals Affected
All Terminals excluding Manila and Auckland terminals

VBS-7285

Full Description

For Stack Run In interface users, if the VBS fails to contact the terminal's web service due to an outage, it will now display error code 1029 with the following description "Unable to call terminal web service. Please try again later". Previously we were displaying the misleading error message "PRA rejected by the terminal".

Booking Details - displays the time you will be able to re-use a container which is already attached to another booking

Terminals Affected
All Terminals

VBS-7607

Full Description

When a container has been attached to a booking, no one else can use that container.  That container will be attached to that booking until it's released.  For the container to be released, the booking must become "Arrived" or a "No Show".

If someone tries to use that container while it was still attached to another booking, the VBS shows this message: "The container has already been used".  Knowing that the container is due to be used on another booking, sometimes carriers would keep trying to attach that container to their booking, hoping the message will be gone sooner or later.  We don't agree with wasting time doing that, so we made a change for the carrier.

We updated the message with the time they will be able to re-book the container such as " This container has already been used, you can re-book this container at 19:00". It will help users not to make unnecessary attempts to confirm a booking with the container because they will know exactly when they will be able to book it.

Message Board - Zone activity also shows the date

Terminals Affected
All Terminals

VBS-7745

Full Description

VBS now displays the dates for the Zone notifications as well as the zone.  Hopefully it means less confusion.

We have now updated the "Refresh" button and added the "Email" button in the Vessel Schedule report screen to make it consistent with other VBS screens.

Container Search - the discharge date and time shown

Terminals Affected
All Terminals

VBS-6874

Full Description

You can now see the container discharge date and time in the Container Search screen if the container has the movement status of "Discharged".

VBS List screens - the search box collapses when there are results

Terminals Affected
All Terminals

VBS-6178

Full Description

Previously when you do a search (Booking List search, for example) in any list screen, it would collapse the search box even when there are no results returned. It was annoying because you'd have to expand the search box again to conduct a new search.

To remove this annoyance, we are now collapsing the search box only when there are results. If there are no search results, then the search box will remain open.

This change will be applied to the following screens:

  • Booking List
  • Manifest List
  • Stack Run List
  • Stack Run Manifest List
  • Xray Run List
  • Search Notifications
  • Message Errors
  • Booking Search
  • Swap Slots
  • Cancel Bookings
  • Search Booking History

Booking Details - improved message when a container is booked by another carrier

Terminals Affected
All Terminals

VBS-3414

Full Description

Previously when a container has already been used by a carrier and another carrier wanted to book the same container, they saw the message "The container has already been used."  This was causing confusion because they wouldn't know whether the container is booked by them or by another carrier.

We have now changed the error message to read "The container has already been used by another carrier".
